Q:How do I reserve Kphotography for my wedding?
A: I recommend scheduling a free consultation with us, so we can go over exactly what you dream of for your day. Your wedding photos are the one keepsake you will have, to hang on your walls, pass on to your children, and reminisce over when you are older... for one of the most important days of your life, and we take that notion very seriously. I will help you pick the best package and options to meet your needs. Once that is decided on, a 25% retainer is due and a contract signed, to reserve your day. It is very important to read the entire contract, as it espressly outlines our services, what is expected from you as well as what you can expect from us. I work very closely with all my brides, and keep in touch often as the day draws near. Two weeks before the date, we meet again or if you are too busy, have a thorough phone conversation, to finalize all the details. Final payment is due at that time. After your amazing day, you can expect a few "teaser" photos to pop up on facebook (if you wish!) within a day or two. I'm usually so excited to show you how gorgeous you were, I put them on immediately! Your finished photos will be uploaded to a gallery for online viewing and proofing, within six to eight weeks. Often even sooner than that. You can share the gallery with guests and family, who can order online, which is nice for those that live far away (and also means you don't have to do all the work!). You will then pick out your favorites for your enlargement and album, get them to me and I get to work designing! You will have two weeks to order prints at a special discount, before they will go up to normal price. Albums that come with packages must be chosen, and prints noted, withing 90 days of viewing your complete gallery.
Q: How do I book a Newborn Session?
A: Sessions MUST occur within two weeks of baby's birth, as early as possible is preferred. A retainer fee of $50 is required to reserve your newborn session. Please schedule a date for the week after your due date (we will tweak if necessary when the times comes) and expect to hang out here for at least a few hours! Newborn photography can not (and should not) be rushed! I only book one newborn session a day. Bring any favorite items with you that you would like included, as well as your nursing pillow (often key to getting those sweet sleepy-content smiles) or bottles enough for two feedings. Dress lightly and comfortably (it will be hot so baby is comfortable) and feel free to bring a change of clothes if you plan to be photographed as well! Black shirts are recommended for black and white photography. For moms having trouble getting around in the first weeks, I will travel to you.
Q: Do you offer High Resolution CD's with printing rights?
A: I offer web-sharing CD's, but not high resolution CD's. You are coming to me, because you want high quality professional service, which includes high quality images. I carefully edit, and calibrate my monitor with the professional printing lab I am affiliated with (Bay Photos and Millers) to ensure you crisp, color-rich images for your final photos. I also artistically play with color and tone, to create some unique pieces for you. Taking a CD to another lab, will result in poor quality prints that are off-color, blurry, and will fade over time. I do not charge an outrageous price for prints, so I assure you, you will be able to purchase the prints you wish, and receive outstanding products.
Q: What is a web-sharing CD?
A: I offer a web-sharing CD for sale for $100, which you may use to email photos, or upload to facebook and other social networking sites. They will look amazing on your iPhone, laptop, or digital frame. Images must not be entered in contests, or used commercially, and my very faint logo must remain at the bottom of the image. NOTE - This CD is already included in wedding packages. For couples who are in absolute love with an image and wish to archive it forever on a CD, it may be purchased in a high resolution format for $50.
